I sought to craft a tale of unlikely souls, drawn from disparate times and places far. What mysteries might they uncover here, within this desert’s cryptic vistas spare?

Together let their stories now unfurl.

Exploring "Well, That Was Odd"

“Well, That Was Odd” takes readers on a strange journey through a mysterious desert landscape. The story follows Denrei, a hardened soldier who finds herself in this otherworldly setting with no memory of how she died. As she wanders the empty sands, Denrei encounters a motley crew of equally perplexed souls who have all mysteriously wound up in this same desert afterlife, or perhaps somewhere beyond.

Each new character offers intriguing clues about their own diverse backgrounds, from ancient warriors to advanced artificials to mystical adepts. Together under the watchful eye of the enigmatic Kraular, this unlikely group seeks answers to how and why they’ve been gathered. But as Denrei and her new companions exchange stories, more questions arise about the true nature of their strange limbo and the deeper forces that may be orchestrating events, spurring the group on a quest to uncover the secrets behind this bizarre new reality.
